Ahead of her homecoming on July 15th, the undisputed junior lightweight world champion Alycia Baumgardner has signed a multi-year advisory deal with Keith Connolly, as first reported by Mike Coppinger.
Baumgardner will face the only fighter to defeat her in her career as Baumgardner is set for a Detroit as a main event against Christina Linardatou.
Before the news of Baumgardner signing a deal with Connolly, Baumgardner had been working with Nelson Lopez Jr., who worked with Baumgardner and will still be a part of the team.
Connolly has worked with Edgard Berlanga, Daniel Jacobs, and Filip Hrgovic. Connolly is considered one of the best power brokers in the sport of boxing.
Baumgardner earlier this year defeated Elhem Mekhaled to become the undisputed junior lightweight world champion. Last October, Baumgardner became a breakout star when she won a split-decision over Mikaela Mayer.
